From Passion Project to Premier Destination
AusGamer Club was born in 2015 from the shared passion of three Sydney-based gaming enthusiasts: Jake Turner, Melissa Chen, and Ryan O'Connor. What began as late-night gaming sessions in Jake's garage quickly evolved into a vision for creating a space where Australian gamers could connect, compete, and build community.
With their combined backgrounds in IT, business management, and competitive gaming, the trio secured their first location in Surry Hills – a modest 80m² space with just 12 gaming stations. Despite limited resources, the club quickly gained popularity for its welcoming atmosphere and cutting-edge equipment that was otherwise inaccessible to many players.
By 2018, AusGamer Club had expanded to a 500m² flagship location in Sydney's CBD, complete with 50+ high-end gaming stations, dedicated tournament areas, and Australia's first professional streaming booths. The company's commitment to fostering local talent has helped launch the careers of several professional Australian eSports players who began as regular club members.
Today, AusGamer Club stands as Australia's premier gaming destination, with three locations across the country and plans for further expansion throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
